Lendable is delighted to announce that Lienda Kavindele has joined the firm as Associate Director of Impact & ESG and she reports to Daniel Goldfarb, Executive Chairman. Daniel said, “We are so excited to have Lienda join to further enhance our impact and ESG underwriting, monitoring and reporting. Lienda brings a wealth of experience from Leapfrog, a firm we have long looked up to for their impact, and Capital Group, who operates at large institutional scale. With this hire, Lendable will for the first time have a dedicated impact function that can further leverage the data of Maestro, while also providing qualitative assessment and portfolio support.”
Lienda joins Lendable from Capital Group, where she supported the design and development of a new fund-level impact measurement framework for the firm’s multi-thematic funds. She also provided support to the ESG research team in producing robust impact theses for stock holdings across several sectors.
Prior to Capital Group, Lienda spent six years at LeapFrog Investments, where she held a number of cross functional roles. She joined the firm as a donor engagement and project management officer where she led on the design and delivery of high impact donor funded projects within LeapFrog’s technical assistance unit, LeapFrog Labs. She then joined the Africa investment team as an impact analyst, where she specialised in the measurement and management of the firm’s financial inclusion portfolio.
She holds an MSc from the University of Edinburgh in International Business & Emerging Markets and an Honours in Financial Analysis & Portfolio Management from the University of Cape Town.
