Lendable hosts Gender-Lens in Practice event in Nairobi

Gender-lens investing, gender-lens business practices – these terms have become commonplace in the language of the startup and investment community. Beyond a trend, what do they really mean in practice?

The Lendable Africa team hosted an evening putting in focus what it means to operate with a ‘Gender-Lens in Practice’ bringing together investors, foundations, capacity builders, and operators who are leveling the opportunity set for women.

Thank you to all who joined us and particularly to our wonderful panelists Keziah Kibata (FSDAfrica), Catherine Denis (Numida), Lilian Oyando (Goodwell) and Rebecca Harison (Africa Management Institute) who shared their inspiring lived experiences in creating gender equity.

Beyond Lendable’s commitment to the 2X Challenge, we are constantly thinking about how we can create behaviour changes for greater gender equity, while collaborating to build on each other’s strengths. This evening would not have been possible without the support of our long-term partner FSDAfrica.
